This year marks the 50th Anniversary of HOME and the Fair Housing Act. HOME’s 50th Anniversary Celebration will take place on April 19, 2018 in the Renaissance Cincinnati Downtown Hotel. We will mark this occasion by honoring our heroes, reflecting on our accomplishments, and recognizing our passionate and committed supporters. We look forward to re-connecting with long-time friends and making new allies as we collectively embark on the next decade of ensuring fair housing.
HOME’s 50th Anniversary Celebration begins with a 5:45pm social hour, silent auction, and seating promptly at 7:15pm. The evening’s flow includes dinner, entertainment, and presentations, capped off with an awards ceremony for our Five Champions for Five Decades of Fair Housing.
We hope you can join the celebration and support our mission!
Five Champions for Five Decades of Fair Housing
For the past 50 years, HOME has been dedicated to eliminating unlawful housing discrimination in the area and promoting stable, integrated communities. However, HOME has not been able to do this work alone. HOME has been supported by a network of individuals and organizations, including housing advocates, lawyers, nonprofit professionals, and volunteers.
Through numerous nominations, HOME selected Five Champions who have played a significant role in advancing fair housing for all. Each Champion was chosen using the following criteria:
- Evidence of accomplishments in fair housing and the elimination of illegal discrimination
- Raising awareness in the community about fair housing
- Commitment to HOME’s mission
- Dedication to living the values of the Fair Housing Act – actively modeling diversity, equity, and inclusion in their careers and lives
